  • My Mary Jane shoes signify independence and reminiscing on childhood. I had the shoes when I was about 5 years old but I hated and refused to wear them so my mom gave them out. When I became older, I started wishing I still had them and when I begged my parents to get them for me, they refused remembering the fact that I didn’t want them when I was younger and had to give them out. I then decided to use my first-ever paycheck to get them for myself, and I did. They are currently the most expensive footwear I own and I cherish them a lot just because of what it means to me.
