Monarda Fistulosa

Watercolour paint on a white sheet of paper. The painting is of an image of a multi-petaled flower. The petal has multiple skinny purple petals. At the base of the petals, are short green leaves. Below the flower head is a skinny straight green stem point down in about the middle of the page. On either side of the stem about half way down the stem are two green leaves. The leaves have darker green veins and points branching out on their sides. At the bottom right corner, there is a black maker’s mark. The whole painting is within a black frame.

Pieces of the Past

Coloured image printed on vinyl. The background of the whole image is a blue and white mix. The right side of the image has green grass at the bottom. At the very right, there is a brown tree with green leaves are red apples within the leaves. To the left (beside the door cut out), there is a light brown brick building surrounded by a brown glow. From the brown brick building all the way to the left edge, there are blue, brown, beige, and brown mostly rectangular buildings across the lower half of the mural. In the centre of the mural between some of the buildings, there is one taller light brown building in a tall point with two globe like features - one about one-quarter of the way to the top and one about halfway down. The lower buildings are surrounded by a brown glow. In front of the buildings, is a dark blue section with a wavy edge in front of them and some wavy lines throughout. Within the dark blue section, there is a sailboat with a light grey rounded triangle base and two beige triangles pointing upwards on top. At the left edge of the page, there is a triangular brown section overlaying everything around it and above it at the top corner, there are two branches with multiple green leaves surrounded by a green glow.

Trillium Grandiflorum Var. Roseum

Watercolour paint on a white sheet of paper. The painting is of an image of a three-petaled flower and its leaves. The flower is in about the centre of the page near the top. The flower has dark pink petals with some white detailing and six yellowish small stems in the middle of the petals. In between the three petals, there are three small green leaves that have a white line down their centre. Below the flower head and small leaves, is a bit of darker green stem and three larger green leaves that mirror the small ones. Below these larger leaves is the rest of he darker green stem pointing to the bottom of the page. At the bottom right corner, there is a black maker’s mark. The whole painting is within a black frame.

Hibiscus Moscheutos

Watercolour paint on a white sheet of paper. The painting is of an image of a five-petaled flower. The petals are a dark pink/light purple colour with some white detailing. In the centre of the petals, there is a long purple stem pointing upwards with a cluster of yellow near the top. At the top of stem (slightly above the yellow), there are five sprouts with ovals on top. Below the flower, there is a green stem pointing diagonally towards the bottom left. Along the stem, there are three green leaves, two of the leaves are larger and have white detailing and the third is slightly below on and is not very large. At the bottom right corner, there is a black maker’s mark. The whole painting is within a black frame.

Iris Versicolor

Watercolour paint on a white sheet of paper. The flower creates a “V” shape. On the right side of the “V”, is a long skinny light green leaf that starts at the bottom of the stem and creates a point at the tip. On the left side of the “V”, there are two flower buds on a green stem. One flower bud has yet to open and is close to where the stem meets the leaf. The unopened bud has a short green stem with a small green leaf to the right side and a unopened petals create a triangle. A further up the stem is an opened flower. The flower has eight petals and is mainly purple with some white detailing and dark yellow at the centre of the flower. At the bottom right corner, there is a black maker’s mark. The whole painting is within a black frame.
