Item is a photograph of the central location of the Concourse with the upper viewing area that made this a great informal meeting/gathering place for staff and students. Often this space was used for more formal functions such as concerts, displays, and fairs.
In the summer of 1970, students set up a tent city named Liberation College in the Humber valley next to the campus. A rock concert featuring Lighthouse was also held on the site during this time and this photo captures the events and some of the cleanup effort.
