File consists of financial documents from the Central Savings and Loan, including deposit certificates connected to a savings account. These were issued in mainland China before Communism. File also includes two scripts for plays in Cantonese, a receipt, and miscellaneous elementary school textbooks.

"HomeComing '92: Where the Heart Is" : [publication]

File consists of a book of proceedings from HomeComing 1992, published by the National Association of Japanese Canadians in 1993. Includes sections entitled, "Where the Heart Is", "Aging Canadians and their Well-Being: A Life Span Perspective", and "Workshops in Japanese". The publication was edited by Randy Enomoto, who inscribed this copy to Wayson "To Wayson, One Who Is All Heart".

"Yip Sang Biography" : [book]

File consists of a privately printed book on Yip Sang. The file is inscribed to Wayson by Victoria and Robert Yip in 1996.

File consists of a history celebrating 125 years of Chinese Canadians in Canada, produced by the Chinese Canadian National Council. Dedicated to all Chinese Canadians, past and present.

Biography of Mrs Sitt Shee Lee (Leung Sum)

File consists two copies of a faxed biography of Leung Sum. She was born on October 1, 1903 in Hong Kong, and arrived in Vancouver in 1922. She was married to Lay Gee Leung (David Lee). She lived in Chinatown in the back of the WK Oriental Gardens Restaurant, owned by her family. The biography discusses her connection to The Jade Peony, "Mom was never an early riser but she was an early arriver-- especially when it came to coming home just a few hours before dawn. Some of those wonderful memories are captured in the words written by Wayson or Sonny Choy in his reminiscences in the Jade Peony as well as in his upcoming work."
