This exhibit shows the special bond between a mother and her child. It explores the stories told through fabric, metals, and culture, and how motherhood is an experience that is more than just words; it is physical memories being passed through generations. Our exhibit explores motherhood using wedding gowns, dresses, cultural outfits, and rings, showing that it is ever changing and everlasting. The wedding gowns represents a love story, as well as tradition and values that continue through generations. The dress is a way for a mother to involve her daughter in traditions. The cultural outfit is a representation of Croatian culture and a mother’s love; a story of handmade clothing for a daughter to perform to the world. The flower ring is more than just a piece of jewellery but a cherished family heirloom. The ring shares memories of a grandmother’s nurturing presence.
