A horizontal black and white film still. The image shows a man standing beside a film movie camera. The camera is rounded on top and white-ish in colour and reads “PANAVISION / PANAFLEX / 2” on it. The man has curly hair and is wearing a jacket and is pointing at something with his finger. To the very edge of the right side, there is a silhouette of a person’s face visible. Beautiful Dreamers is a National Film Board of Canada and Starway Films Inc. film. This Canadian production used the interiors and exteriors of the cottage buildings as well as the cricket field and gazebo to the south of campus. Set in nineteenth-century Ontario, the film portrays the story of American poet Walt Whitman (Rip Torn) as he joins forces with Dr. Maurice Bucke (Colm Feore) to challenge the then-current concepts of patient treatment in asylums. Inspired by true events, Beautiful Dreamers is one of the few times that the buildings of the former Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital – standing for their London counterpart – were used to represent a mental health institution in film.

A Press Kit is a form of advertising/marketing for a film. Press kits are used to draw attention to a film and to reach as many professionals and viewers as possible. It is an image booklet of the film which also contains detailed information about the project.
