Collection consists of material which was gathered by the Humber Libraries before the formal establishment of the Archives. Much of the material is from the early years of Humber and includes reports, meeting minutes, correspondence, and other materials.
File consists of material relating to the establishment of Humber and other Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology in the 1960s. The file includes the following documents: "National Seminar on Community Colleges in Canada" (address by William G. Davis, Minister of Education, 31 May 1966); "Guidelines on Organization Prepared for the Board of Governors of a College"; "Special Guidelines for Boards of Governors : Steps Involved in Establishing Permanent College Buildings" ; "Submission to the Hon. William G. Davis, Minister of Education, concerning the Establishment of a College of Applied Arts and Technology in the Etobicoke Area" (14 December 1965); "Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology" (Basic Documents from the Ontario Department of Education, three copies); "Colleges and Universities : Rivals, or Allies?" (notes for a presentation, 1969); and "Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology in Ontario For the Information of the Ontario Council of Regents and Boards of Governors" (preliminary draft).

Fonds consists of material relating to the professional life of Jackie Robarts at the Osler School of Nursing and Humber College. Fonds includes material covering the opening of Osler’s building and residence in 1970, newspaper clippings detailing Robarts’ career, correspondence, Osler graduation programmes, and ephemera.
Series consists of material relating to the operation of the Osler School of Nursing (mainly prior to its absorption into Humber in 1973). The series is divided into three sub-series, which cover general correspondence, graduation exercises, and the opening of the new Osler building and residence in February 1970.
