The Humber Communique describes Jim's contributions to Humber as "Jim has been one of the builders -- not just of Humber -- but also of the Ontario system of Colleges [...] From Funding Models to golf tournaments; from the Hay system to memories of S.A.T.O., there is scarcely an element of the first twenty years of our history that Jim hasn't affected."
