Scope and content

Black and white horizontal photograph. The majority of the photograph is three rows of people, some sitting and some standing. The front row of people consist of eighteen people sitting with their legs together and hands folded in their lap. The two people second and third from the middle on the left and right are wearing dark coloured suits and the rest are wearing all white: long sleeve shirt, skirt, tights, shoes and hat. The second row of people consists of twenty-one people standing with their arms at their sides. All of them have a white pinafore, grey long sleeve shirt under, and a white hat. The third row, which is slightly higher than the second, of people consists of twenty people standing with their arms at their sides. All of them have a white pinafore, grey long sleeve shirt under, and a white hat. Behind the third person from each end in the back, there are three Union Jack flags hung on the wall. Behind the middle ten people in the top row, there is a nature scene consisting of fir trees and water which ahs some decorated columns beside it. The floor everyone is standing on is a wood floor made of panels. To the side of each row, there are sets of staircases visible in the background. In the centre of the bottom edge and at the bottom right corner, there are rows of white text which appears as if they were hand-written. The photograph is held within a white frame.
