Sing is a TriStar Pictures film. This high school drama was filmed in The Assembly Hall building. It follows the story of the school’s resident bad boy (Peter Dobson) who is convinced to participate in the annual musical production and must learn to work alongside his classmates. The stage and interior windows of The Assembly Hall are identifiable in a number of scenes throughout the film. The film attempted to capitalize on the popularity of coming-of-age musical dramas such as Footloose (1984) and Dirty Dancing (1987) but proved to be less successful in theatres.
A Press Kit is a form of advertising/marketing for a film. Press kits are used to draw attention to a film and to reach as many professionals and viewers as possible. It is an image booklet of the film which also contains detailed information about the project.
