Stanley & Iris is a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Lantana, and Star Partners II Ltd. film. This romance follows the story of Iris King (Jane Fonda), a recent widow, and Stanley Cox (Robert DeNiro), an illiterate short-order cook. Stanley is forced to check his father Leonides (Feodor Chaliapin Jr.) into the State Home for the Aged when he can no longer care for him. A room inside the cottages serves as Leonides’ bedroom with several scenes shot along the lawns outside the cottages as well as the cricket pitch at the south of campus. In spite of the all-star cast, this film was considered a box office flop. It was also Jane Fonda’s final film before a fifteen-year hiatus, ending when she starred in Monster-in-Law in 2005.
A Press Kit is a form of advertising/marketing for a film. Press kits are used to draw attention to a film and to reach as many professionals and viewers as possible. It is an image booklet of the film which also contains detailed information about the project.
