Craftsman was founded in 1927. In 1929, they debuted their electric drills. The company has produced a wide range of tools, machines (including lawn mowers), and more. It was originally founded by Sears but is now owned by Stanley Black and Decker.

Similar folding rules by Craftsman were produced in the 1950s, this one is likely from around the same era as construction and style are the same.
